Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Qualcomm will be demonstrate advanced wireless technologies at the CTIA tradeshow in Las Vegas, Nevada from April 1 thru April 3rd, 2009. This STA is required to permit low power transmissions within the Las Vegas convention center. MediaFLO will also host a demonstration at the NAB conference in Las Vegas April 20 thru April 23rd, 2009.

Please explain the purpose of operation:
Qualcomm willl use low power transmitters inside the Las Vegas Convention center for UMTS and MediaFLO techologies. The MediaFLO demo will use TV channels 53 and 58 where coordination and clearance with these TV operators has already taken place by Comsearch. The UMTS demonstration will utilize a low power 2.1 GHz system and the frequencies will be coordinated by Comsearch. Both demos require small coverage areas inside the Qualcomm booth at the convention center. To demonstrate MediaFlo technology on TV channels 53 and 59. Coordination and clearance with these TV operators has already taken place by Comsearch. We will be also be demonstrating 2.5GHz peer to peer technology. The transmitters will only be operated during the trade shows.
