Subject: File Num#0311-EX-CR-2017 reminder on FAA pre-coordination data request
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Message:

Ms. Nguyen:

This is to confirm completion of the following items as requested for pending File No. 0311-EX-CR-2017
– please advise if the application can now proceed with final processing and grant:

1. Completion of All FAA Coordinations (Ref. 37748)

- Coordination for frequencies within 118-137 MHz – completed by FAA’s Lorena
Carvajal – coordination previously submitted to the Commission

- Coordination for frequencies outside 118-137 MHz – completed by FAA’s Anuj
Sinha – coordination previously submitted to the Commission

2. Completion of All AFTRCC Coordinations (Ref. 37747)

- Coordination for VHF AFTRCC frequencies completed – Commission notified July 11.

- Coordination for telemetry AFTRCC frequencies – Commission notified July 18.

3. MAG Coordination (Ref.37746)

- As reflected in the attached correspondence between us previously:

- Although the Commission has requested MAG coordination, the current version of the WF2XUB
license does not include any frequencies in the ranges of “174-228.6 MHz” and
“228.8-328.6 MHz”, and Special Condition 15 on the current license states that: “(15)
Operation is NOT PERMITTED using the frequency band 174-228.6 MHz , 228.8-328.6 MHz and
335.4-454 MHz.”

- Although the Commission’s ELS systems shows these bands as present in the renewal
application, and although you requested that BAE Systems delete the MAG frequencies from the
application, when BAE Systems tried to do this, an Error message was issued which did not permit an
amendment.

Accordingly, BAE Systems can take no further action on the amendment of the bands unless the
Commission provides additional instructions, and as a result BAE Systems will consider this issue to be
“complete” unless the Commission requests additional action from the company.

Best regards,

Jeff Rummel
Attorney for BAE Systems
