Harris Corporation is requesting STA for a sixty day period, beginning 09/01/2015, to operate a 2.4 meter C band earth station in connection with a critical project for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The attached letter from the FAA demonstrates that Harris is the current FAA Telecommunications Infrastructure contractor. This STA is necessary as it will enable the provision of critical flight path information to the FAA. Harris submits that a grant of this application will serve the public interest because it will assist the FAA's mission of ensuring flight safety. Harris has filed for a permanent license request for these facilities, see Submission ID IB2015001065 (attached).
