Applicant: Intelsat License LLC Call sign: No Call Sign File number: SES—STA—20121211—01091 Special Temporary Authority (STA) Intelsat License LLC is granted an extension of the current STA SES—STA—20121102— 00986, under the following conditions, for a 30—day period to use its teleport site at Nuevo, California to test the proposed 9.2 meter General Dynamics model 9.2m KaFMA antenna in anticipation of using the antenna to access Ka—band satellite Galaxy 28 at orbital location 89° W.L. 1. The testing carrier 20KG9D will be performed on the uplink frequencies: 29.625 GHz (H,V,L,R) and 29.791 GHz (H,V,L,R) and on the downlink frequencies: 19.825 GHz (H,V,L,R) and 19.991 GHz (H,V,L,R) within coordinated emission and power limits. 2. Operations under this authority are on a non—interference basis only. 3. Operations under this authority are on a non—protected basis only. 4. In the event that there is a report of interference, Intelsat Licensee LLC must immediately terminate transmissions and notify the FCC in writing. 5. This is granted without prejudice to any future FCC enforcement action in connection with any unauthorized operation of radio facilities. 6. Pursuant to Section 1.62 of the Commission‘s rules, 47 C.F.R. § 1.62, continued operation of this station with Galaxy 28 at orbital location 89° W.L under previously granted STA file number SES—STA—20121102—00986 with grant date of November 9, 2012 continued in effect until grant of this authorization. 7. Washington, DC 20554 INTELSAT Re: Request for Extension of Special Temporary Authority 9.2m Ka—band Antenna, Riverside, California Dear Ms. Dortch: Intelsat License LLC ("Intelsat") herein requests a 30—day extension — through January 13, 2013 — of the Special Temporary Authority ("STA") ‘ previously granted to allow Intelsat to utilize a 9.2m Ka—band antenna located at its Riverside, CA teleport for testing with Intelsat‘s Galaxy 28 satellite at 89.0° W.L.. Intelsat seeks this extension because the testing has not been completed. The testing will continued to be performed in the following frequencies: 29.625 GHz (L) and 29.791 GHz (R) (uplink) and 19.825 GHz (R) and 19.991 GHz (L) (downlink). The maximum uplink EIRP per carrier will be 69.2 dBW. Intelsat has coordinated the proposed transmissions with the operators of all co— frequency, co—coverage satellites within plus/minus six degrees of 89.0° W.L. Specifically, Intelsat has coordinated the proposed transmissions with Telesat Canada, the operator of the Nimiq 1 satellite at 91.0° W.L. In the extremely unlikely event that harmful interference should occur, Intelsat will take all reasonable steps to eliminate the interference. In further support of this request, Intelsat incorporates herein by reference the relevant technical parameters set forth in FCC Form 312, Schedule B, which was included as Exhibit A in the original STA request. In addition, Intelsat incorporates by reference the radiation hazard report and antenna gain patterns previously submitted for this antenna."
