Request for STA Viacom Communications Services Inc. December 15, 2003 Viacom Communications Services, Inc. is requesting an STA for operation of a C Band Earth Station for 90 days while the permanent license File Number SES-LIC-20031212- 01806 Call Sign E03349 is being processed by the Commission. CBS News, a division of Viacom Inc of which Viacom Communications Services, Inc is a wholly owned subsidiary, recently returned the C Band Earth Station to be licensed in the above mentioned application from its London, England News Bureau. The Earth Station was returned to the United States for use during the upcoming Presidential Election. CBS News is requesting this STA in order to train personel in the proper use of the Earth Station and so that it may be used for National News Coverage during the upcoming Iowa Presidential Caucuses and the NH Primary Election.
