  Subject: RE: SES—LI C—20080512—00596 Question

Dear Ms. Lott,

This is to add that per Section 25.134 (g)(1), N is equal to one for a VSAT network using TDMA, such as the one
in the Intelsat filing.

In this case, the corresponding maximum power spectral density of a digital modulated carrier into each of the
terminals

per Section 25.134 (g)(1) is —14 dBW/4 kHz.

Best regards,

Per Staff Engineer read the below questions concerning the above application filed for Intelsat and response as
regested in this e—mail.

Thank You

Hi Eleanor,

l reviewed the Intelsat application you gave me. Could you send an e—mail to the applicant to ask which multiple
access technique (i.e. FDMA, TDMA, or CDMA) does it intend to use for its proposed VSAT network with
the number of proposed remote terminals where it proposed to have 50 remote terminals. Refer the
applicant to look at Section 25.134(g)(1) to see if it applies.

Thanks,

trang
