The new name reflects the fact that VIPBS has recently become the licensee of a public radio station along with its long—established public television station. Title 30 Virgin Islands Code, Chapter 7, is amended by striking "Virgin Islands Public Television System" wherever it appears throughout the chapter and inserting "Virgin Islands Public Broadcasting System". SECTION 2. This Act takes effect 120 days after enactment. Thus passed by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands un July 30, 2015.
