SAT—LOA—20121025—00187 and SAT—AMD—20121221—00220 EXPEDITED TREATMENT REQUESTED Dear Ms. Dortch: Intelsat License LLC ("Intelsat"), by its attorneys and pursuant to Sections 25.164 and 25.165(d) of the Commussion‘s rules, requests a reduction in the amount ofits bond for the above—referenced satellite license‘ based on the information in the record of this proceeding demonstrating that Intelsat has satisfied two additional milestone obligations. Specifically, Intelsat requests a finding from the Commussion that Intelsat is entitled to reduce the amount of its performance bond for this satellite from $2.25 million to $750,000. The Intelsat 30 bond is currently due on September 13, 2014. Intelsat respectfully requests an expedited finding as soon as possible so that it may take the business and financial steps required to post a $750,000 bond by this deadline. As part of the grant of the Intelsat 30 application, the Commission determined that Intelsat had met the first milestone." In response to a request from staff, Intelsat provided in a supplement filed on July 28, 2014 documentation to demonstrate that it has met the next two milestones — critical design review and commence construction. These materials included photographs of the satellite, a certification that Intelsat had met its payment obligations and confidential copies of the Statement of Work and Spacecraft Performance Specification. Construction of the Intelsat 30 satellite is now complete.
