           Re:   ITU Cost Recovery Fees for USABSN-12B

Dear Mr. Nelson:

        On July 28, 2009, the Commission issued an Order and Authorization to DIRECTV
Enterprises, LLC (“DIRECTV”) for a 17/24 GHz BSS satellite operating at the nominal 103°
W.L. orbital location (call sign S2712).1 The commercial name of the satellite to be deployed
under that authorization is DIRECTV RB-2. Associated with this authorization, DIRECTV
requests that the Commission submit advance publication, and subsequently coordination and
notification information, for ITU frequency coordination and notification of the space station.
We understand that this ITU filing will be identified as “USABSN-12B.”

         DIRECTV unconditionally accepts all cost recovery responsibilities associated with ITU
filings for USABSN-12B at 103° W.L. Please address all correspondence relating to this
obligation to me as follows:
