For good cause shown, we grant the requested extension oftime. MCHI‘s amendment to its pending application was placed on Public Notice on November 27. 1996 (see Public Notice, Report No. SPB—69 (November 27, 1996)).. Motorola Satellite Communications, Inc., TRW Inc. and L/Q Licensee, Inc. filed Petitions to Deny. MCHI filed an Opposition to these petitions on January 23, 1997, pursuant to a two—week extension of time. (See letter to Counsel, Mobile Communications Holdings, Inc. from Chief, Satellite and Radiocommunication Division (January 21, 1997).) TRW states that the MCHI Opposition contains numerous points which need to be addressed in detail, including new documents never before available. A one week extension would enable all parties to thoroughly review the Opposition and enable the Commission to compile a complete record. Further, TRW states that counsel for all parties of record have consented to the requested extension. Pursuant to Section 0.261 of the Commission‘s rules on delegations of authority, 47 C.F.R. § 0.261, for good cause shown, your January 29, 1997 request, on behalf of TRW Inc. for an extension of time to file a reply in the referenced proceeding is granted. ("TRW"), by its attorneys and pursuant to Section 1.46 of the Commission‘s rules, 47 C.F.R. § 1.46 (1995), hereby requests that the Commission grant a one—week extension of time, until February 11, 1997, for the filing of replies to the Consolidated Opposition to Petitions to Dismiss or Deny ("Opposition") filed by Mobile Communications Holdings, Inc. ("MCHI") on January 23, 1997 in the above—captioned proceeding. Counsel for all parties of record in this proceeding have consented to the extension requested by TRW herein. MCHI amended the above—referenced application on September 16, 1996, and filed a Supplement to that application on November 13, 1996. A Public Notice announcing the acceptance of these two documents for filing was issued by the Commission on November 27, 1996 (Report No. SPB—69). Between December 24 and 27, 1996, TRW, L/Q Licensee, Inc. and Motorola Satellite Communications, Inc. filed petitions to dismiss or deny MCHI‘s application. Because the MCHI Opposition was filed on January 23, 1997 — pursuant to a two—week extension of time granted to MCHI by the Satellite and Radiocommunication Division‘ — replies a See Letter from Thomas S. — 2. to that Opposition would normally be due on February 4; 1997. See 47 C.F.R. §§ 25.154(d), 1.4 (1995). The MCHI Opposition contains numerous points that must be addressed in detail, including a host of new documents regarding MCHI‘s application that have never previously been submitted to the Commission or made available for public review. TRW believes that grant of the requested one—week extension of time will serve the public interest by enabling the Commission to compile a complete record with which to evaluate MCHI‘s pending application. TRW also believes that grant of the instant motion will have no significant impact on any of the other parties to this proceeding.
