Date Filed: 06/30/2008 15:56:35:10000
Modification

PanAmSat Licensee Corp. (PanAmSat) has filed an application to modify the authorized location of the Galaxy 12 satellite from 125.10º W.L. to
122.9º W.L. and to conduct Telemetry, Tracking, and Control and Monitoring operations at 122.9º W.L. using the 6424.5 MHz
(horizontal/right-hand-circular polarization) for command; and 4198.0 MHz (vertical/left-hand-circular polarization) and 4199.875 MHz
(vertical/left-hand-circular polarization) for telemetry, and to allow Galaxy 12 to operate as an in-orbit spare at the new location. PanAmSat
requests a waiver of Section 25.283(c), 47 C.F.R. 25.283(c), which specifies that space stations must discharge all stored energy sources at
end-of-life of the space station. This modification application was not appropriate for the streamlined procedure for fleet management maneuvers
specified in Section 25.118(e) of the Commission's rules, 47 C.F.R. §25.118(e). See Public Notice, Report No. SAT-00538, Policy Branch
Information, Actions Taken, Informative (July 11, 2008).
