 Amendment

DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC filed an amendment to its pending application for authority to construct, launch and operate a space station,
DIRECTV KU-45W, at the 45.2° W.L orbital location. See IBFS File No. SAT-LOA-20130205-00016 (Report No. SAT-00940, Apr. 5, 2013).
The pending application indicates that DIRECTV proposes to use DIRECTV KU-45W will provide direct-to-home Fixed-Satellite Service to
 Brazil using the 10.95-11.2 GHz (space-to-Earth), 11.45-11.7 GHz (space-to-Earth), 11.95-12.2 GHz (space-to-Earth) , and 14.0-14.5 GHz
(Earth-to-space) frequency bands. In its amendment, DIRECTV proposes to (1) add the 13.75-14.0 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency band, (2)
add a second Brazilian national downlink beam, (3) use a single national uplink beam instead of two spot beams, (4) use a combination of
110-Watt and 150-Watt TWTAs for the national downlink beams, (5) revise the link performance and budget analysis, (6) revise the interference
analysis, and (7) delete Appendix D.

 SAT-LOI-20140326-00034 E S2923 Inmarsat Hawaii Inc.
 Date Filed: 03/26/2014 14:46:16:10000
 Letter of Intent

Inmarsat Hawaii Inc. seeks access to the U.S. market using a proposed Ka-band geostationary-satellite orbit space station, Inmarsat-KA 63 W, at
the 62.85° W.L. orbital location. Inmarsat states the space station will operate under the authority of the United Kingdom. Inmarsat requests
market access to provide Fixed-Satellite Service using the 18.3-19.3 GHz and 19.7-20.2 GHz (space-to-Earth), and the 28.1-29.1 GHz and
29.5-30.0 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands. Inmarsat requests to use the 18.8-19.3 GHz frequency band for gateway downlink operations
on a non-conforming, non-interference basis and the 28.1-28.35 GHz and 28.6-29.1 GHz frequency bands for gateway uplink operations on a
secondary basis. Inmarsat also seeks a waiver of Section 2.106, Footnote NG165, of the Commission's rules to permit GSO FSS operations in
the 18.8-19.3 GHz frequency band on a non-interference basis. Inmarsat also seeks a waiver of Section 25.114, to the extent necessary, to
submit its .gxt files via email and as an attachment to the application, instead of embedded in the Schedule S form.
