The purpose of the experimentation is to evaluate the performance of the specified radar for use in land border security applications prior to conducting a demonstration for the US Customs and Border patrol (CBP). A surveillance network comprised of the specified fixed and mobile radars will be evaluated for performance in detecting and tracking of people and conveyances at various ranges and in all weather conditions. At the conclusion of the evaluation a live demonstration of the capability will be presented to CBP for consideration in use in support of border security missions on the southern border.
