Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Northrop Grumman will be demonstrating the Heron Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) System produced by Israeli Aircraft Industries. Equipment for a UHF uplink between a Ground Control System and theu UAV will be imported for use in this demonstration. The link will operate on channels between 466Mhz and 508Mhz. It will be used for control of the UAV primarily during launch and recovery operations near the base of operations. Northrop Grumman will be conducting a demonstration as part of participation in a US Army sponsored competition to evaluate new UAV systems for future purchase by the US Army.
