Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
The STA will be used to demonstrate an 8K Super High Definition System at the 2014 NAB show in Las Vegas. The technical demonstration is of a short duration and will operate on two 6MHz channels in the broadcast television band within the band 500-674 MHz. The actual channels used will be coordinated with local broadcasters through the local SBE coordinator.

Special Temporary Authority application - Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
The STA will be used to demonstrate a new terrestrial over-the-air Super High Definition System, called Super HiVision, being developed by NHK. The STA will show the current status of this development to NAB show attendees. The demonstration will use two 6MHz channels in the 500-674 MHz band and will use very low power. Operation and choice of specific channels will be coordinated with local television operations.
