Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This application proposes the use of VHF and UHF frequencies at the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race events at two venues, Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indianapolis, IN and Road Atlanta in Atlanta, GA. These frequencies will support terrestrial only telemetry, two-way operational, and security communications during these events. The STA is necessary because the race teams, from Europe and elsewhere, use land mobile equipment that is not licensable in the United States for the purpose set forth herein, due to frequency ranges, and it is new technology under development.
