Motorola, Inc., respectfully requests expedited special temporary authority (STA) for a five-month period beginning July 1, 2010 to test, evaluate and demonstrate a limited number of units (approximately 1%) associated with a prototype radio communications system designed to support the communications requirements of electric power generation and transmission of operative engaged in public safety-related activites. The test will not involve operations on channels allocated or shared with the Federal Government or in the Part 90 Public Safety pool.
