Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
An STA is necessary to permit continued experimental operation of the Lumen-1/Starcloud-1 spacecraft following expiration of its existing one-year experimental authorization. The spacecraft remains operational in orbit, and additional time is required to complete further demonstrations, testing, and experimental activities. All operations under the requested STA will remain within the technical and operational parameters authorized under the prior grant.

Please explain the purpose of operation:
The purpose of the operation is to continue experimental testing and demonstration of the Lumen-1/Starcloud-1 spacecraft and its onboard systems, including additional on-orbit demonstrations, system characterization, and collection of experimental performance data. These activities will continue using the same frequencies, power levels, ground stations, and other operating parameters authorized under the prior experimental license.
