Special Temporary Authority application - Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
The test is intended to gather quantitative data on sea clutter characteristics and the detection of maritime targets. This information will be used to evaluate and improve the performance of our sensor systems under realistic ocean environment conditions. The transmitter will be mounted on a temporary structure and will be pointed due west, in direction over the ocean and thus in opposite direction of other ground-based RF systems.
