Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This Special Temporary Authorization is being requested to allow us to meet the initial stages of the new Marine Corp contract, N00019-00-C-0340. These intial stages are critical to the early development and testing of the radar system, Air Surveillance Precision Approach Radar Control System (ASPARCS), under the terms of the contract. We are filing a regualr authorization request for teh contunired developemnt, testing and distrubution of these systems to the Marine Corp. The regualr authorization will include complete exhibits, maps and FAA authorization for the use of the radio frequency 1090 Mhz. The FAA Study Number is 02-AEA-1092-OE.
