Special Temporary Authority application - Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
Demonstration of the QuicLINK mobile radio. QuicLINK provides WCDMA radio access and core network functionality in a single integrated system. A QuicLINK system supports circuit-switched voice/video UE-to-UE, UE-to-PSTN, and PSTN-to-UE calls, as well as packet-switched data calls. In addition, a QuicLINK system is capable of stand-alone operation where it provides UE-to-UE calls within its radio coverage area. QuicLINK is specifically designed for deployable, mobile units, e.g., military field operations. Ericsson wishes to demonstrate this functionality to customers.
