Special Temporary Authority application - Explanation

Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:

This regards a request by Broad Comm, Inc. (Broad Comm) for special Temporary Authority (STA) to allow use of 2367 MHz for the purpose of providing video coverage of a special event in Las Vegas, NV to be televised on the NBC televison network. Broad Comm provides radio-frequency support services to broadcasters and broadcast network entities for coverage of major events. The FCC has granted Broad Comm and others similar requests for several previous events. Broad Comm requests authority to use these frequencies to permit use of portable video camera transmitters that operate in the 2.3 GHz frequency band. Hardware limitations prevent operation of these cameras in spectrum reserved for broadcast auxiliary operations. Coordination from AFTRCC has been requested and will be provided prior to this event.
