Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This regards a request by Broad Comm, Inc. (Broad Comm) for Special Temporary Authority (STA) to allow use of several UHF frequencies in the Industrial/Business Radio Pool. The purpose is to provide logistics support for the North America International Auto Show and related activities (including setup and takedown) for the period of December 3, 2012 through January 31, 2013. The event will be held at the Cobo Center in Detroit, MI and all use will be limited to inside the arena. Broad Comm provides radio frequency support services to various entities at major events. The FCC has granted Broad Comm and others similar requests for numerous previous events. Due to the magnitude of this event the use of several units is required. In addition, the number of frequencies requested is allow for the fact that they are shared with other users and therefore only some of them will be available for use at any particular time.
