Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Portable Camera equipment testing and demonstration at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV from January 4 through January 8, 2006. Broad Comm provides radio-frequency support services to broadcasters and broadcast network entities for coverage of major events and will use this event to test and demonstrate the equipment. Broad Comm requests authority to use these frequencies to permit use of portable video camera transmitters that operate in the 2.3GHz frequency band. Hardware limitations prevent operation of these cameras in spectrum reserved for broadcast auxiliary operations. Additionally, operation of these low power transmitters (1-watt) on broadcast auxiliary frequencies is not spectrally efficient considering the possible need for spectrum by local broadcasters to cover events. Coordination from AFTRCC has been requested and received for this testing.
