Special Temporary Authority application - Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This regards a request by Broad Comm, Inc. (Broad Comm) for Special Temporary Authority (STA) to allow use of the frequencies 482.5 to 487.5 (within TV channel 16) for aural coverage and production coordination at the Chicago Marathon. In that there are no television stations operating on channel 16 in this area and due to the low power being requested no interference is expected to televsion reception. In additon, Broad Comm is also requesting use of frequencies 2367 and 2384 MHz for the purpose of portable video for televised coverage of this event. AFTRCC coordiantion has been requested for use of these frequencies.
