Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This regards a request by Broad Comm, Inc. (Broad Comm) for extension and modification of Special Temporary Authority (STA) (WF9XPT- 0292-EX-ST-2012) for temporary use of the requency 4700 MHz for airborne use over an approximate straight line flight path between Bakersfield amd Modesto, CA. The purpose of the STA is for additional development and testing of a highly directional steerable antenna intended for military applications. In order to properly evaluate the antenna an EIRP not to exceed 44.5dBm is required with an 8 MHz bandwidth. It is contemplated that this activity will be carried out over a period of one week commencing April 30, 2012 and run through June 15, 2012.
