Special Temporary Authority application - Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This regards a request by Broad Comm, Inc. (Broad Comm) for Special Temporary Authority (STA) to allow use of frequencies in portions of television channels 25, 26, 29, 32, 46, 47, 50, 51 and 55. The frequencies will be used to support production of a move by Dreamworks that is being shot at Hollman Ariforce Base and the White Sands Missile Base in New Mexico. The use of the frequencies will be for the period from May 20 through June 10, 2006. Broad Comm provides radio-frequency support services to movie producers as well as various broadcast entities and has been granted similar requests for numerous other events. No interference is anticiapted to televison reception in that the devices to be used will operate with a power of 100 mW with the exception of one device that will operate on 719.6 MHz (TV channel 55) with a power of 250 mW. In addition, there appears to be sufficient separation between the proposed location and any authorized television statons.
