By this experimental renewal application, The Boeing Company (?Boeing?) seeks Commission authority to extend the expiration date for its existing experimental authorization from November 1, 2005 to December 31, 2006. Boeing also notifies the Commission that is has discontinued experimental operation of Block 1 phased-array antennas in a land mobile configuration mounted on U.S. military HMMWVs (granted through File No. 0038-EX-ML-2003). As described in Boeing's Experimental Progress Report for Call Sign WC2XVE dated October 7, 2005, which is hereby incorporated by reference, Boeing continues to operate its authorized aircraft earth stations ('AESs') under this experimental license for a number of important purposes, including the provision of service under government contract to U.S. Government aircraft. Accordingly, grant of this experimental renewal application would serve the public interest. Finally, Boeing seeks to clarify that its experimental authorization covers operations in U.S. territories, as well as CONUS, Alaska, Hawaii and international airspace.
