Special Temporary Authority application - Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
An STA is needed to permit experimental activity to begin in Alaska starting approximately September 15, 2006. This is expected to allow completion of the initial phase of propagation testing before work is hampered by the change of season. In addition, the STA is required to accommodate propagation testing in Georgia. The inclusion of New Jersey in the STA will permit AT&T Labs to conduct tests of the propagation measurement equipment at various AT&T sites in New Jersey. This is essential since this equipment is being designed and constructed specifically for the testing in Alaska and Georgia and verification of its operation is required before and during deployment.
