Special Temporary Authority application - Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
L3Harris has been selected to participate in the USSOCOM 20-3 Technical Experimentation event at Avon Park, FL (McDill) from Monday July 13th through Thursday July 16th, 2020. The experiment will be no longer than 2 days and requires a FCC STA to operate at that location. The short time frame for this request is due to the short notice of acceptance (due to COVID-19 delays).

Special Temporary Authority application - Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
L3Harris will be participating in the USSOCOM TE 20-3 experiments by demonstrating the L3Harris Modular Communications System for Robotics (MCSR) product. The MCSR is a high throughput COFDM product that uses various waveforms at various frequencies. This demonstration will use 10MHz BW COFDM (8M9D7W) at either S-Band/ISM Band (2.2 to 2.5 GHz excluding Wifi, if desired), or C-Band (4.4 GHz to 4.9 GHz; can be limited to one frequency to prevent interference if desired). Uses Silvus-based MN-MIMO radio module.
