Explanation:

FCC Experimental license is requested for demonstration and evaluation of an indoor GPS repeater related to
autonomous driving research in San Jose, California. Intel plans to operate a vehicle lab for autonomous driving (AD) at
our San Jose campus. The GNSS sensors mounted on the AD test vehicles shall be tested within the vehicle lab. For that
an indoor GNSS repeater is required to have the required GNSS signal coverage within the vehicle lab.



Purpose:

For functional and indoor verification testing of GPS sensors mounted on cars. The license will enable Intel to install and
operate GNSS repeaters in the vehicle lab for the required indoor GNSS signal coverage.



Timeframe:

Start 06/31/2017

Stop 06/30/2019

Request for extension submitted May 2, 2019 for an additional 12 months from original expiration of midnight June 30,
2019 PST. Requested new expiration date of midnight June 30, 2020 PST.
