             TRANSPORTABLE LAND—BASED INMARSAT TERMINAL

Exxon Communications Company (ECC) provides telecommunication
needs of Exxon Corporation and affiliates in the event of an
emergency caused by Exxon operations anywhere in the world.

In Exxon‘s growing emergency response systems, Inmarsat
terminals are placed at strategic locations to provide for the
need to communicate in a timely manner in order to mitigate any
such circumstance. As our communication needs increase, these
terminals are added to satisfy these worldwide needs.

The portable terminal will be pre—positioned in Baytown, Texas
for emergency response. Because the unit might be relocated for
emergency response drills, it should be licensed for use in the
United States, should the immediate need for use occur.
