Washington, D.C. 20554 RE: Experimental Authorization KAZXHN Dear Ms. Salas,; On June 23, 1999, COMSAT Corporation, by its COMSAT World Systems business unit (COMSAT), filed for a renewal of its KAZXHN experimental license and authorization. Historically, that license authorized COMSAT to conduct its tests using INTELSAT space seqment. In its renewal request, COMSAT noted that two of the INTELSAT satellites used for the experiment, the INTELSAT 513 and 803, have been transferred from INTELSAT to New Skies Satellites, N.V. (NSS) and are now referred to as the NSS 513 and 803. Although COMSAT requested that the license indicate that the tests could be conducted using the NSS 513 and 813, the license, as renewed, continues to describe the satellites authorized for use in the test as INTELSAT satellites. We hereby request the Commission to issue a corrected license, indicating that the tests may be conducted using INTELSAT satellites and the NSS 513 and 803.
