Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This regards a request by Broad Comm, Inc. (Broad Comm) for Special Temporary Authority (STA) to allow use of frequencies 2034.5, 2040.5, 2052.5, 2058.5, 2070.5, 2076.5 and 2088.5 MHz. The purpose is to test a new video capture system at National Hockey League (NHL) venues for the period of April 11, through June 13, 2018. It is recognized that these frequencies are in the Broadcast Auxiliary Services Band; therefore, the SBE frequency coordinators in each city will be notified prior to use. In that this is for the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the exact dates and times at each of the potential venues are not available but will occur during the indicated time span . The units will operate only inside the venues listed in this application with a maximum ERP of 50 mW. The cameras will be located 1-2 meters above the ice and be capable of capturing video both on the ice as well as in the adjacent stands to enhance crowd safety. Broad Comm provides radio frequency support services to various entities at major events. The FCC has granted Broad Comm and others similar requests for numerous previous events.
