Special Temporary Authority application - Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This STA will be in support of a research project at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. The project is to design control algorithms for multiple unmanned vehicles (both ground and air vehicles) for enclosed spaces (buildings). In order to test the control and communication systems at our facility in an interference-free environment, we plan to use the 3.65 GHz band for our testing. The STA is appropriate because the communication system is necessary for our research and culminates in a technology demonstration. Additionally, the use of this frequency band is needed for only a few months.
