Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Silvus Technologies has a Small Business Innovation Research Phase II contract from the US Air Force (Contract # FA8750-13-C-0043). Under this contract Silvus needs to tests its SC-3800 MIMO radios at ranges up to 200kms between airborne assets. Silvus is planning to rent Cessna aircrafts from the Long Beach Airport and fly them over the Los Angeles basin. The frequency band of operation will be 435-445 MHz. The maximum transmit power is 1 Watt.
