Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This regards a request by Broad Comm, Inc. (Broad Comm) for Special Temporary Authority (STA) to allow use of a number of frequencies for the purpose of providing support and logistics communications for the 60th ANNIVERSARY 12 HOUR FIA WORLD ENDURANCE CHAMPIONSHIP at the Sebring International Speedway Sebring, FL for the period of March 14 through March 17, 2012. The FCC has granted Broad Comm and others similar requests for several previous events. AFTRCC coordiantion was requested and received for the requested frequencies under their juristiction. The number of frequencies and units requested is to satisfy the needs of this activity and to allow for the fact that the frequency are shared with other authrorized users and therefore may not always be available.
